The situation before MRPsupport
This Sydney-based industrial distributor supplies fasteners, seals, and workshop consumables to manufacturing clients across Greater Sydney and the Hunter Valley. With a warehouse in Wetherill Park and a smaller satellite in Newcastle, their team was running stock checks by phone and managing purchase orders through a mix of email and a legacy accounting system that hadn't been updated since 2016.
Stockouts were costing them customers. Sales staff would quote products that had already been sold from the Newcastle location, leading to embarrassing backorders and lost repeat business. Without real-time visibility, the purchasing manager was placing orders based on gut feel — resulting in overstocking of slow-moving lines and shortages on best-sellers.
The Solution

We built their full product catalogue — over 2,400 SKUs — with reorder points and preferred suppliers configured for each item. The purchasing workflow was redesigned so that the system automatically surfaces replenishment suggestions each morning based on current stock levels and committed sales orders.
We integrated MRPeasy with their Xero accounting file for invoicing and payment matching, and trained both the Sydney and Newcastle teams remotely over three sessions. Go-live was phased — Sydney first, Newcastle the following fortnight — to reduce disruption.
