The Challenge

The situation before MRPsupport

This NSW timber manufacturer produces custom hardwood flooring, decking, and cladding for architects and builders across NSW. At 12 people, they punch above their weight on product quality — but their back office was running far behind. They came to MRPsupport having already decided on MRPeasy, but with a clear ambition: they didn't just want to implement a system, they wanted to use it as a platform to eventually automate as much of their operation as possible.

Beyond the ERP implementation, two pain points stood out: producing the weekly production and inventory report required someone to manually compile data from MRPeasy into a formatted PDF each Friday — taking roughly two hours — and their website enquiry inbox was being swamped with basic questions about stock availability, lead times, and species specifications that any trained model could handle.

The Solution

What MRPsupport delivered

MRPsupport first implemented MRPeasy across the full manufacturing and inventory operation — BOMs, routings, purchasing, and customer order management — over a six-week engagement. Once the ERP was live and stable, we built two AI layers on top.

First, an automated reporting pipeline that runs every Friday morning, pulls live data from MRPeasy's API, formats it into the client's standard PDF template, and emails it to the leadership team — replacing the two-hour manual task entirely. Second, we built and trained a custom AI chatbot embedded on their website, trained on their full product catalogue, species guide, lead times, and pricing tiers. The chatbot handles routine product enquiries, qualification questions, and quote requests, escalating only complex or custom jobs to the team.
